The Red Manga Luffy from OP13 is the card people mean when they say a booster box can pay for a car. It traded at $7,406 in November 2025, reached $12,915 in July 2026, and sits at $8,932 today. A 31% fall in two months on a card this expensive is not a crash. It is what thin markets do.

Why thin markets swing
With only 383 graded copies in existence and a handful of raw sales a month, one motivated seller or one absent buyer moves the average by thousands. The June to July run to $12,915 was two or three strong sales; the August retreat to $8,932 was the market going back to where the last several buyers actually met sellers. Neither number was wrong. Both were the market at that moment.
The sibling Red Manga Ace OP13-119 tells the same story at a smaller scale, at $4,175 today. When both move together, it is the buyer pool for the whole Red Manga tier, not the individual card.
On a card with a few sales a month, the average is a mood, not a fact. Watch the range, not the point.
